We take pride in staffing our offices with the best qualified medical office personnel available. Our staff is trained to be courteous, professional and attentive. They are compassionate and strive to provide the best possible eye care. Members of our staff have been with Eye Associates for 20, 25, and 30+ years.

MEDICAL DIRECTOR AND OPHTHALMOLOGIST
Dr. Eric J. Kahle is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. He received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Biology from the University of Illinois, and graduated

with honors from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Dr. Kahle then performed a year of internship in the General Surgery Department at Rush Presbyterian-St. Lukes Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.

After this, he completed his Ophthalmology training at this same institution, serving as Chief Resident his final year.

He practiced for two years in Danville, Illinois with an internationally known cataract and refractive surgeon.

Dr. Kahle then joined Eye Associates as owner in 1998.

Dr. Kahle is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has special interest in the treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes and eyelid abnormalities. Dr. Kahle takes pride in providing patients the latest advances in eye care which have been safely tested.

OPHTHALMOLOGIST                                                                                                
Dr. Everett Ai is a nationally known Retina Specialist and a member of the Eye       

Associates Medical Staff since 1994. Dr. Ai graduated with an M.D. degree from           

the State University of New York, in 1975. He performed his Internship and

Residency at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.Upon completion of his

Residency in June 1979, Dr. Ai continued his specialty education witha series

of Fellowships.

The first Fellowship was a study of Diseases of the Retina and Vitreous at the Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco from June 1979-June 1980. The second Fellowship was a study of Ultrasonography at the University of Iowa in 1980, and the third Fellowship was in the field of Vitreoretinal Surgery at St. Luke's Hospital of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio in 1981.

Dr. Ai is the Director of the Retina Unit at the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco and an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, Berkeley. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, a Diplomat of the National Board of Ophthalmology, Associate Examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology, on the Board of Directors for the California Association of Ophthalmology. He is a Lecturer at Stanford Basic Science Department in Palo Alto, California, a member of the Board of Directors of the American Diabetes Association, and on the Medical Advisory Board for Diabetes Review.

OPTOMETRIST
Dr. Gregory Perrone was “raised all over” with his father in the United

States Air Force.  Dr. Perrone eventually landed in Sonoma County which has

been his home for over 20 years.

Dr. Perrone received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Microbiology from the

University of California, Riverside and then went on to get his Bachelor of

Science in Physiological Optics and a Doctorate in Optometry from the

University of California Berkeley.

After receiving his degree, Dr. Perrone continued to study the treatment

of Low Vision of which he continues to have a special interest. Along

with taking care of healthy eyes, the most rewarding part of his career

is helping people with visual challenges through glasses, contact lenses,

and/or low vision aids.

A husband and a father, Dr. Perrone enjoys spending time outdoors

with his wife and son.

OPTOMETRIST
Dr. Karin N. Boehm was raised in Palmdale, California. After completing her

Associates Degree at Antelope Valley College she transferred to Northern

Arizona University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Zoology.

She returned to California to attend Southern California College of

Optometry in Fullerton where she earned her Doctorate Degree in

Optometry.  After earning her degree in 2003 she moved to Sonoma

County to practice Optometry.

Specializing in medical eye examinations, contact lenses and glasses,

Dr. Boehm enjoys the personal aspect of getting to know her patients

and providing the best possible care.

Dr. Boehm is a member of the American Optometric Association, the

California Optometric Association, and the Redwood Empire

Optometric Association.

In her off time, Dr. Boehm enjoys photography, the outdoors, attending

concerts and theater performances, and most of all, spending time with

her husband and daughther.

OPTOMETRIST
Dr. Mary Lechner grew up in Pennsylvania.  She attended Wayne

State University in Detroit Michigan and University of California at

Berkeley from which she received her Bachelor of Science degree

in Physiological Optics as well as her Doctor of Optometry Degree.

Dr. Lechner has practiced optometry in numerous settings throughout

her career.  She enjoys all aspects of eye care – particularly educating

patients about their eye health, visual requirements and optical options

available.

Northern California has been home to Dr. Lechner for over 35 years.

  She enjoys using recycled and reclaimed objects and materials to

make furniture and art.  She and her husband, a guitar maker, also

enjoy designing and making wood furniture

DERMATOLOGIST
Randall Hrabko, M.D., F.A.A.D., practices general, cosmetic and surgical dermatology. He received his medical degree and dermatology training from

the University of Miami, as well as advanced training in skin cancer surgery, Mohs micrographic surgery, reconstructive surgery, and cosmetic surgery

at the Roswell Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York.

Dr. Hrabko is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is

a fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology for over 25 years.

He is also a ten year member of the American Holistic Medical Association

and applies his holistic skills in the diagnosis and treatment of his patients.

Dr. Hrabko, in private practice in Southern California since 1981, has three grown children. He is happy to move his practice to Northern California which he has wanted to do for a long time. He is known by his colleagues and patients for his compassionate and professional care.

FOOT CARE NURSE

Laura Roehrick, RN CFCN (certified foot care nurse) is a graduate of the Santa                                    Rosa Community College and has over 35 years of nursing experience.  The past  16 years have been in the new field of foot care nursing, where she is considered a pioneer.  She was the first nurse in California to establish an independent practice, delivering nursing foot care services, in 1996. She was a member of the foot care nursing exam committee that established the first certification test for WOCNCB’s Foot and Nail Care Certification Examination.  Her volunteer work in Tanzania, where she participated in training health care professionals in preventive diabetic foot care, was acknowledged by the 2008 Red Cross Local Hero Award.  She has also presented at foot conferences in Canada and in England.  Laura’s special talent is in “foot sculpture”.  She uses a state of the art podiatry file to reduce the most severe cases of fungal toenails, thick calluses and cracked heels.  This is a painless procedure, that takes from 20-30 minutes and will keep the feet in good shape for an average of 2-3 months.  Her specialty is in caring for the most difficult nails and calluses.

Laura is also a renowned national speaker on foot and nail care.  She has lectured though out the United States, Canada, England, Africa and most recently is helping to develop a foot clinic in Mexico.  She is passionately involved in developing natural foot care products.  her soothing Lion's Paw formula transforms dry skin into healthy skin and is effective in the management of several skin conditions.

COSMETIC CARE
Laurie Darling, C.D.T., C.O.T., trained at the "Forever Beautiful" School of Permanent Cosmetics in St. Mary's, Georgia. Her instructor was the prestigious Janice T. Eyerly who is a leader in the field of permanent cosmetics. Laurie Darling graduated at the top of her class as a "Certified Derma Technician."  In addition, Laurie is certified by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel  as an Ophthalmic Technician as well as certified by the California Medical Assistants Association for both Clinical and Administrative duties.  Laurie has over 30 years experience serving Eye Associates Medical Group, Inc.

A perfectionist, Laurie will work with you on an individual basis to help you decide which procedures and styles will best enhance your facial features.

THE STAFF

We are a very progressive office and feel that the best way to serve our patients is for the staff members to be cross trained in a variety of areas.  This way if a staff member is out sick, the majority of the time we do not have to interrupt patient care as another staff member can step right in and cover. You will see that several of our staff member work in several different departments.  It has taken us many years and lots of training to achieve this goal.  Please see below for our "years of service" awards.  We feel that we have the most knowledgeable and best team in the area.  We promise that if we don't have the answer, we will do our best to find it out for you!
