MEDICAL DIRECTOR AND OPHTHALMOLOGIST He practiced for two years in Danville, Illinois with an internationally known cataract and refractive surgeon. Dr. Kahle then joined Eye Associates as a owner in 1998. Dr. Kahle is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has special interest in the treatment of cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes and eyelid abnormalities. OPHTHALMOLOGIST Originally from Merritt Island, Florida, Dr. Strong attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and graduated with Highest Distinction. Deferring his entrance to medical school, he taught English for a year at a technical university in Wuhan, China. Afterwards Dr. Strong obtained his M.D. at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and interned at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan. After completing his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center, Dr. Strong joined Eye Associates as a comprehensive ophthalmologist. Dr. Strong has an interest in the medical and surgical management of a wide variety of eye conditions including cataracts, diabetic eye disease, and glaucoma. OPHTHALMOLOGIST The first Fellowship was a study of Diseases of the Retina and Vitreous at the Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco from June 1979-June 1980. The second Fellowship was a study of Ultrasonography at the University of Iowa in 1980, and the third Fellowship was in the field of Vitreoretinal Surgery at St. Luke's Hospital of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio in 1981. Dr. Ai is the Director of the Retina Unit at the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco and an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, Berkeley. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, a Diplomat of the National Board of Ophthalmology, Associate Examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology, on the Board of Directors for the California Association of Ophthalmology. He is a Lecturer at Stanford Basic Science Department in Palo Alto, California, a member of the Board of Directors of the American Diabetes Association, and on the Medical Advisory Board for Diabetes Review. DERMATOLOGIST Dr. Hrabko is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and
is a fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology for over 25 years.
Dr. Hrabko, in private practice in Southern California since 1981, has three grown children. He is happy to move his practice to Northern California which he has wanted to do for a long time.
